Tasnim Tanha Mim is a lecturer of Mathematics in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at International Standard University. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from University of Dhaka. She completed her M.S. in Applied Mathematics from university of Dhaka securing second position in her respective group. She did her research work on ‘Applications of Bernoulli Polynomials in the method of Weighted Residuals’, which is on formulation of second-order boundary value problems with Dirichlet, Neumann, and Robin boundary conditions by Galerkin’s weighted residual technique using Bernoulli polynomials. Different polynomials are solved by the weighted residual method using MATLAB programming and comparison is shown between exact and approximate solutions by graphical representation.
Her career started as a Subject Matter Expert at SHIKHO Technologies Bangladesh Ltd, which is enlisted in ‘100 to watch’ list of Forbes Asia’s 2nd edition. She created course modules covering many areas related to mathematics after school. Through online courses, she intended to use conventional study resources in innovative methods like creating interactive animated video lessons. She added a new dimension to her career by joining as a lecturer of Mathematic at Viqarunnisa Noon College, which is one of the leading colleges in Bangladesh. Along with such experience in teaching, she worked as a scrutinizer for Education Board of Bangladesh (Intermediate and Secondary Education Boards) under the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh. Her professional background includes a variety of positions in academia, such as leadership, management and teaching.
